US-Therapist
My name is Halima Brown Manzanera. I am a US-Licensed therapist and Life Coach. I live between Spain and the USA.
I specialize in depression, anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, and identity concerns.
I currently offer life coaching services for English speakers who are trying to navigate the complexities of being or becoming an expat.
I also offer consulting services for aspiring therapists who are just beginning their therapist journey. I am also available to work with organizations in a consulting capacity.
Services
-
I’m a CBT- and DBT-informed therapist who takes a solution-focused, here-and-now approach to support meaningful change.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) helps us identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that influence how you feel and act.
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) involves skill building for emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and improving relationships
A solution-focused approach means we concentrate on your strengths and what’s working, rather than staying stuck in the problem.
I work in the here and now, helping you deal with current challenges, build insight, and taking practical steps forward — rather than overly focusing on the past.
Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you, using evidence-based tools to help you feel better, think clearer, and move toward your goals.

As a coach, I work with individuals navigating life transitions, identity exploration, and career or personal growth — with a deep understanding of the lived realities of being queer, Black, and/or an English-speaking expat.
Whether you’re living abroad and feeling culturally unanchored, navigating microaggressions in unfamiliar systems, or simply trying to find joy and purpose in a new chapter — coaching can help you reconnect to yourself and move forward with clarity.
I assist clients by connecting where they are to where they want to be. This involves exploring their goals and barriers that are preventing them from achieving those goals.
I specialize in working with:
Queer folks seeking identity-affirming guidance
Black clients looking for safe, culturally aware support
English-speaking expats adjusting to new environments, isolation, or uncertainty
People at the intersection of multiple identities, navigating complex systems and inner growth

The biggest difference I would say is the the focus on time
THERAPY is often past or present focused while COACHING is future focused
THERAPY involves healing and or processing past pains, and/or traumas, as well as managing mental health concerns
COACHING assists with building skills to work on clarifying and putting action toward future goals
THERAPY helps you heal COACHING helps you grow
